"Clicker Training" is a gentle and fast training technique. The Clicker is a small tool that produces a special signal: click - click! At first, someone shows the pet that the signal means that a treat will be given. When the pet learns this (usually after three repetitions), the signal becomes a powerful means of establishing a correlation between behavior and reward. In particular, this "Click Training" uses rewards rather than punishments. Rewarding positive behavior makes it pleasant to continue training. By using punishment, the pet doesn't understand what to do to avoid being punished. Reinforcement of positive behavior is missing.
